We all hate getting ill; it ruins plans and you can’t go about your day as normal. I’m currently writing this ill in bed so I thought why not write a blog post about it and what I think helps when you feel crap. I have a cold; a runny nose, sore throat situation and it’s horrible. Trust me to get a cold when it starts to get a little nicer outside ugh.
When we’re ill we want to try to go about our day as normal but honestly, it doesn’t go well; I always advise to take a day off work/college to get better. Give your body a rest. Have a PJ day and just let yourself get back to normal.
Here are some things that I find helpful for feeling better and getting back to yourself…
- I always find having a nice bubble bath helps a lot. The steam will help your runny nose and the nice warm water will help relax your muscles; perfect way to get on the mend.
- For a sore throat; gargle some warm salt water. This really helps soothe and cleans your throat.
- Have a spoon full of honey; again this has been a life saver for my throat as it’s a natural remedy.
- Look after yourself, pamper yourself. Do a facemask and really look after your skin.
- Drink plenty of water!
- Relax in your favourite PJs and watch a movie 🙂
I hope this helps for when you’re feeling a little rough! I am feeling a lot better due to doing these things. I hope nobody gets ill over summer but if you do here are some things that can help.
