I am no makeup guru and no expert. I more or less do the same look each day. I feel there is no right or wrong to makeup. We all have our own techniques. You do what you like and what feels comfortable for you. If you want to wear lots of makeup then ‘you go girl’ or like me you keep it simple, then that’s still cool too! Don’t judge anyone for having less or more makeup. Don’t feel bad if you don’t have all the high-end stuff because it’s not always the best and if you can find a cheaper option that works for you then go for it. I love doing my makeup, I feel myself with it on but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy makeup-free days. My style of makeup is a natural one. I personally don’t like the feeling of lots of makeup on my skin. So here’s what I use and is in my gorgeous ‘Ted Baker’ makeup bag…
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation- Light 2 Mont Blanc
I have mentioned this foundation a few times so you already know how in love I am with it! It gives such a beautiful coverage. Not cakey or too orange looking. Gives a lovely natural glow to the skin and is buildable.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer- Light 2 Vanilla
Matches the foundation beautifully. Gives great coverage under the eyes and brightens. Hides any blemishes or pigmentation really well.
Rimmel London Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder- 021 Transparent
Sets your base makeup really well. Beautiful light consistency. Makes your makeup last longer.
The Body Shop Bronzing Powder- Medium Matte
I love this bronzing powder! You can also contour a little with it. Gives such a nice natural bronze to your face.
Ella Eden London Eyeshadow- Julia
Such a beautiful pink shade. Gives such a lovely shine to the eyelids. Looks natural but gives a nice contrast to a basic makeup look.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I love how this mascara lifts my eyelashes and makes them stand out. Not too clumpy and stays on really well.
Tanya Burr Lipstick- Birthday Cake
Honestly the perfect day-to-day shade. Ties the eyes and the lips in really lovely. Beautiful consistency, really comfortable on the lips and not drying.
MAC Lipstick- Velvet Teddy
For an evening or a more fancy event, I will pop on my trusty ‘Velvet Teddy.’ Beautiful shade, feels moisturising and comfortable to wear. A firm Favourite.
Lottie London Blend and Snap Sponge
I really like this blending sponge. It’s not expensive and it does the job really well. lasts a really long time. May need to purchase another one now though lol. I have some other brushes but I got them for Christmas and not too sure where they are from but I love them.
I have a wide range of makeup from high-end to high-street. I think you can save money on certain things like makeup tools. They work just as well as high-end ones. This also means you can save up for other things that in my opinion are worth investing in, such as base makeup. Let me know if you would like a post on what to save on and what is worth spending a little extra money. Give this a like if you enjoyed it and want to see similar content. Give my blog a follow for lots more lifestyle bits.
Lots of love and happiness
