Skincare is so important. Making sure you have a good routine for your skin can be life- changing. Not only can we prevent horrible spots but your makeup will sit nicely if you have good skin. No one has perfect skin but it is harder for some more than others to achieve this. I completely get that. I have dry, acne prone and a red complexion skin type. So I know the feeling of looking in the mirror and feeling sad because everything you try on your face doesn’t work. It’s hard to know what is right for our skin and can cost a lot finding out. I had really bad acne on my skin and had tablets from the hospital. My acne is all cleared up but my skin is very dry. If you want me to talk more about my acne treatment/journey then message me or comment below. It’s figuring out what is right for you as everyone’s skin is different. This is what I use on my skin and seems to be working.
Clinique- Take the day off cleansing balm
I love this stuff! Takes my makeup off really well. Even my eye makeup which is harder to budge. Gentle on my skin.
Clinique- Anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam
This is my second cleanse and it just removes all dirt. I feel this really gets into my pores and does a thorough clean.
Clinique- City block purifying charcoal clay mask and scrub
I use this mask once a week. It goes on really nicely and dries quite quickly. I put this on when I’m in the bath and relax. It’s a really lovely mask because when you wash it off, it’s a scrub as well so exfoliates. I love these types of products that have more than one purpose.
Anatomicals- No old bags allowed eye gel
I love this eye gel because it firms and smooth’s under your eyes. When I haven’t slept too well or have had a late night out, I always reach for this and it just gets rid of your dark circles and puffiness.
Balanceme- Congested skin serum
I really enjoy putting this serum on because it smells so relaxing and nice. I love how it’s 99% natural which is always music to my ears. You can put this on your spots but I use it all over my skin to prevent spots. As I have acne prone skin I think it’s always good to use a serum targeted at spots to keep them away.
Bobbi Brown Remedies- Skin relief 80
This serum targets a red complexion like mine. Evens out the skin and calms it. My skin really needs this and I have been enjoying using it.
Clinique- City block sheer 25 SPF
It’s so important to use SPF on your face daily. I have been really loving this one especially in the heat wave we have been experiencing. It’s not too greasy and blends in with other skincare well.
Clinique- Moisture Surge
I have very dry skin so this drinks it up like a treat. Really replenishing and feels amazing on my skin. Sinks in really beautifully. This is lovely for sensitive skin. Some I have tried leave my skin red and irritated but this is calm and soothing.
The Ordinary- High-adherence silicone primer
I have tried a lot of primers but this is my favourite by far. So simple and smoothing. Gives a great base for my makeup.
Vaseline- Cocoa butter
I always like to end my skincare with a lip balm. I used to get really dry lips and this just cures it completely. I use it all the time now just because I think it’s good to keep your lips in good condition and I never want to have dry lips again lol. Really recommend. Especially if you are on any acne treatment then you will know your lips dry up horribly so give this a go. So soothing and I love the cocoa butter as it smells so good.
That’s my current skincare routine. I like mixing it up sometimes and trying new products. As you can tell I have been really loving ‘Clinique’, their skincare is beautiful and would highly recommend if you have skin like mine. I’m sticking to this routine as it really works for me but as I said I like trying lots of things. I am a skincare lover so if you have any recommendations feel free to leave them in the comments. Skincare is so personal I find because what may work for me might not work for you. I like buying testers of things first to see if I like it then buy the full size. This way it doesn’t seem so wasteful if you don’t like it and a less expensive way of trying things. Your routine doesn’t have to be as big as this, you have got to go with what your skin needs. You don’t have to use all the serums in the world to have good skin. Just find what works for you and stick with it. Give this a like if you enjoyed it.
Lots of love and happiness
