Looking After Your Mental Health

Taking a step back is not a bad thing. You are not failing, you are not prolonging your growth or career, you are simply taking care of yourself. It’s so important to pause and take a breath. We are all so guilty of putting so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves and it really damages our mental health.

If the job isn’t bringing you joy, or someone isn’t being nice then leave. You don’t need it. You don’t need anything that harms your mental health. It’s not giving up, it’s actually taking care of yourself.

Sometimes people are nasty for no reason. It’s nothing to do with you. I often think that what’s said behind your back is none of your business. It says way more about them than you. You just go about your life.. they will soon shoot themself in the foot.

Have a few days off. Sleep, cleanse and breathe. Take a step back and heal. Nothing wrong with putting yourself first. Take time for yourself and love yourself.

Life can be hard but promise yourself on those hard days you take a step back and take time for yourself. They are the days that you need yourself.
